The Practical Stuff

The questions we answer on the phone every day, written down so you can read them at 2am instead of ringing us.

What documents do I need to rent a car?
A valid driver licence and a government ID are the basics, plus a refundable security deposit. Send a photo or PDF of your licence when you message us and we will confirm the exact requirements for your vehicle before anything is agreed. Overseas licences need to be in English or come with an approved translation. If you are adding a second driver they must present their licence at pickup as well, and both drivers need to be named on the agreement.
Is there a security deposit, and how much?
Yes. Every hire carries a refundable security deposit, returned to you when the car comes back in good order — it is a hold, not a charge, and you are not charged for normal wear. The exact amount depends on the vehicle and is confirmed to you in writing before you commit to anything, so there are no surprises at handover.
How do I pay?
This site is inquiry-based — there is no online payment and no card details are collected through this website. You confirm the rate, the bond and the payment method with us by call or WhatsApp, and payment is settled at vehicle handoff. We will always confirm the total before you transfer anything.
Do your prices include VAT?
Every daily rate on this site is shown VAT inclusive. The 12% VAT is already inside the headline number and is listed as its own line on your quote, so you can see the tax component clearly rather than guessing at it.
Do you offer weekly or monthly rates?
Yes. Longer hires are cheaper per day than short ones, and indicative weekly and monthly figures are shown on each vehicle page so you can see the shape of it before you ask. The exact rate depends on the vehicle, the season and how far you are driving, so we confirm a firm weekly or monthly price when you book.
What is the minimum age to rent?
The driver must be 21 years or older and have held a full licence for at least 12 months. Drivers under 25 are welcome, but some vehicle classes are restricted to them. If you are under 25, tell us before you book and we will point you at the cars you are actually allowed to take.
What insurance is included?
Every rental includes standard damage cover with an excess, and the excess amount is stated on your agreement before pickup. If you want the excess reduced, ask us about it when you enquire and we will price it in. Please read the exclusions in the terms — tyres, glass, the underside of the vehicle and roof racks are commonly excluded, and we would rather tell you now than after an accident.
Is there a kilometre limit?
Yes, each rental comes with a daily kilometre allowance, shown on the vehicle page. Going over the allowance is charged per kilometre at a rate we confirm up front. If you know you are doing a long run, say so when you enquire — we can often price a higher allowance or an unlimited rate that works out cheaper than paying overage after the fact.
What happens with fuel?
Cars are handed over with a full tank and are expected back full, so you are not paying for our last customer's fuel. Keep the receipt from the fill-up on the way back. If we have to refuel for you, we charge the current retail price plus a small service fee, and we will show you the receipt.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancel more than 24 hours before your pickup time and there is no charge. Inside 24 hours, a fee of up to 50% of the booking applies, because the car has already been held for you. If your plans change, tell us as early as you can — we would much rather move a booking than lose it.
Can I pick up or return outside standard hours?
We work by arrangement rather than fixed counter hours, so early-morning airport runs and late returns are fine. Tell us your flight details if you are meeting us at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) and we will have the car ready and waiting at a time that suits you. Any out-of-hours handling fee is confirmed with you before you book, never added on the day.
Do you deliver to Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA)?
Airport pickup can be arranged. Give us your flight number and landing time and we will price the delivery, meet you and walk you to the car. Delivery is quoted per trip and confirmed before booking — we will not add a surprise airport fee to your total on the day.
What if the car is damaged or broken down?
Call us straight away — do not attempt a repair yourself, because unauthorised work is not covered. We will talk you through what is covered, arrange a replacement vehicle where needed, and walk you through making a claim. Damage that is not reported within a reasonable time is very hard to deal with with an insurer, so please call as soon as you can.
Can I add a second driver?
Yes, and we would rather you added them than left the car with someone who is not on the agreement — unlisted drivers are usually excluded from cover. Any additional driver must present a valid licence at pickup and be named on the rental agreement. Let us know the count when you book so we can price it correctly.
Am I allowed to smoke or take pets?
No smoking in any vehicle — the cleaning and odour remediation cost far more than the hire itself. Pets are a case-by-case question: tell us the type and size before you book and we will tell you honestly which cars can cope, rather than finding out at pickup.
